I have been rowing away below deck at my pays-the-bills job. On Wednesday night I just couldn’t stand it any more. I simply had to dust off my Bernie and do something creative (that video marketing strategy can be developed early Thursday morning, right?? BTW, if you have any ideas about how to implement same, hit me up!).
I’m always torn at this time of year about projects. I love the fall —pumpkins, drifting colorful leaves, trick or treating for Halloween, and Thanksgiving meal planning — but there is an inevitable tug towards the red and green of December.
If you’re feeling the same thing, here’s a little project to satisfy your urges. I call it a rustic tree. Here is the pattern.

I will be adding this project to the Fave Quilts Website Be sure to check this site often for new holiday projects!
Enjoy the apple cider and donuts while you can — candy canes are just waiting in the wings. About that video strategy……
This looks like fun. Is there a way to download or print the pattern?
Wendy — early morning blogging error. I’ll set it up now. Thanks for asking!
Don’t you just HATE it when real life interrupts our creative flow?! I have so many other/better things to be doing than submitting information to the State of Illinois. ~sigh~ But without the need for those submissions I wouldn’t have a job to support my habit. ~sigh~ So, I keep rowing and while waiting for results, I get to read fun blogs like yours! ~smile~ Roseanne
Roseanne — LOL. We all have to come up for fresh air periodically.
Love this pattern! Your real life job can be put on hold for just a bit.
You call your Bernina “Bernie” too?!??! We must be sisters from another mister 😉
The rustic tree is awesome !
