Sandy reporting in briefly from London.
- Liberty London building was fantastic — all wood and warm and charming. From the Tudor facade to the welcoming flower bouquets to the afternoon tea at Arthur’s, it was all up to snuff.
- Liberty London quilting fabric selection was sparse. I didn’t buy anything <sob>.
- I’m steps away from the event venue that is the reason for my trip. When I have to start working again on Wednesday, it’ll be easy peasy.
- Public transportation is understandable, affordable, <seemingly> safe <so far>, and incredibly convenient. Love not having to drive.
- I’m seeing quilt inspiration everywhere.
- I’ve not had a drop of whiskey <sob>.

No fabric purchase?!!! OMG – that is so very sad. But no one can take the experience away from her. And as far as the whiskey – she’s not in Scotland or Ireland where famous distilleries are housed (and free samples of Scotch, anyway). I foresee a nice pub in her near future with fish and chips and a pint and chaser on the side. YUM! ~smile~ Roseanne
Wonderful
I’m so sorry that Liberty’s was a bit disappointing. Shoot. I’ve heard such good things. Glad, though, that you are finding getting around to be easy. Champagne and cheese – um, yes! Hope you find some other good things to enjoy!
Thanks for sharing this adventure! Your artist’s eye in taking these photos helps me to see so many quilt designs also. The champagne photo has the background of those buildings and I immediately saw a quilt! I love the border on that modern art. I once made a border like this and it drove me nuts…but I loved the results. Enjoy your time in London! Please keep sharing.😉
Amazing adventure! Enjoy!
Gasp. You did not buy anything from Liberty London?!??! Obviously I should have gone with you and help you select something…anything…perhaps a spool of thread – ha! Great photos 🙂
