This working from home thing is ah-mazing when the snow is pouring down and the roads are icy and the temperature is dropping.
Here’s the view from my NY back deck on Monday. La De Dah, I don’t care!

All this white has inspired me to sew in red. It’s a Christmas thing, it’s a valentine’s thing, it’s a fireplace thing — all rolled up into one cozy project. I’m alternately watching old Christmas movies, the Rockefeller Center tree lighting ceremony and Mrs. Maisel in the background while I cut up my little squares and patch them together. Here’s my progress so far.

This will be a queen size postage stamp quilt. I am accepting red scraps if you’d like to play along š
Your back deck looks like a Christmas card! I am getting ready to go to some Christmas Strolling events in small Texas towns, and the 70 degree weather just doesn’t feel like Christmas. I guess I should just have fun and not complain. I love the postage stamp quilt. I have been toying with the idea of making one. What size are your squares!
Chela — I’m headed back to Texas next week for work. Can’t wait to spend some time strolling the Christmas markets! Each square is 1.5″ for the postage stamp quilt.
Iām in Salado right now for the Christmas stroll. Tomorrow is Round Rock Christmas.
Oh my goodness, what a gorgeous view you have! Enjoy your day, every stitch of it!
Thank you. The view is so pretty. I recently added a bird feeder and we are seeing so many cardinals and blue jays!
La De Dah – I am jealous. Not necessarily today since the roads and grasses are bare. But next week when winter is back, I definitely may be very jelly. If you share your address, you may just find yourself with a red care package. As long as it isn’t needed before Christmas! Have fun postage stamping. ~smile~ Roseanne
Roseanne — you are so sweet! How big of a truck of scraps should I plan on?
Welllllllll, I still have friends who do logistics for semi-trailers . . . . š
Send me an e-mail if you would like me to send you some red scraps. I was not sure if you are serious or joking with us readers. Happy pre-holidays š
