It’s Cindy reporting that I miss my TAG (Teen Age Girl), a neighbor and a beginning quilter.
I’ve been organizing and getting some projects ready to sew when I found TAG’s ‘stash’…a pile of neatly stacked 5 inch squares she cut out last spring. Her organization skills are awesome, thanks to her mom! AND she gained a lot of confidence with a rotary cutter while cutting out these squares. Her plan is to make a quilt with rainbow colors.TAG has also started a yellow and green charm square quilt. All the squares are sewn together in rows and she just needs to sew the rows together. This is such a cheerful quilt, I can’t wait to see the finished project!
As we’re approaching cooler weather, I hope TAG will have time for quilting again. It’s fun to watch her design process and to see her quilting skills develop.
Sounds like you have made a quilting friend for ever.
Yes! I think I have, she is so sweet, I just love her.
That is wonderful
Hi Cindy! What the heck??? A UFO for your TAG?? Is that even allowed?? Okay, I guess we can give her a break since it WAS summer. Being outside, popping around in a bikini and looking cute . . . I’ll cut her some slack. Cold weather brings out the more quilter in all of us!! ~smile~ Roseanne
Hahaha….UFOs cross all age boundaries! Thanks for making me laugh…you crack me up!
Fun to see you ‘pass on your passion and skills’ to another generation…especially as it’s a basis for neighborly friendship. The yellows and greens look so peaceful IMHO
Thanks, Laura! Neighbors/friends are the best!
This is wonderful! How lucky she is to be inspired by her Mom and to get started on her lifelong obsession early! 🙂
