Memorial Day is just around the corner and that means July 4th is not far behind! I got a jump start on July 4th planning by designing this Patriotic Pinwheels Table Runner.
The fabric is from the Sweet Land of Liberty Collection designed by Thomas Wood and Deborah Edwards for Northcott Fabrics
I am attracted to fabrics with words and this word fabric…well…it practically jumped off the shelf and into my welcoming arms! Pinwheels are another favorite of mine, so why not combine my faves into a great July 4th table runner?
Below is a bird’s eye view of the finished table runner. If you are a beginning quilter, our step by step instructions will help guide you through the pinwheel making process.

We’ll be posting this pattern to the Fave Quilts website as well. There will be plenty of July 4th quilting inspiration on Fave Quilts so be sure to take a look!
I bought lots of extra Sweet Land of Liberty fabric so I’ll get back to work and make a few more table runners for Christmas gifts. Yes, it’s not too early to start thinking about such things!
Thanks for reminding me about Christmas! I always seem to forget it falls every December 25th and I find myself working on projects up to midnight on Christmas Eve.
I love the tablerunner!
I love word fabrics (and word art too)! You have to read if you’re coming over to my house! Great pattern, Cindy!
Hi ladies! Another really great free pattern and just perfect for the upcoming holidays. I love pinwheels too, and this would look fabulous on my 4th of July table. Hmm, I have plenty of time to get it finished in time. Happy Thursday! ~smile~ Roseanne
That is such a sweet tablerunner! So nice to share another free pattern! 🙂
Thanks, T! We hope you and TTQH and Mike have a great weekend, summer is here! Yay!
You would not believe how much I have looked for a table runner pattern for making one for the 4th of July!!! I too, love pinwheels, and could have made a pattern for myself—but why stress this old brain when there it is—just what I have been looking for!!! Thank ye, thank ye, thank ye!!!! ; )
Maggie, I am so glad you like our pattern! Low stress is best! Send us a pic of your creation! We love to see what quilters do with our patterns!

Thanks, Carol! It goes together quickly!
