Good Thursday morning from Ohio! A dear friend (DF) gave me two jelly rolls for Christmas…here are some of the fabrics:I’ve never made a Log Cabin quilt and I think these fabrics would be perfect…especially with the red for the block center. Oh no…did I say “red”??? Sandy is going to find out I have some red fabric that I didn’t share for the red and white quilt she’s making…shhhhhh, don’t tell her!
Won’t this metallic red and gold brighten up the blocks? For my Log Cabin quilt, that is! Sandy, I promise to send you my red left overs…I know I’ll have some!
Do you have a favorite Log Cabin quilt pattern? Let me know, I’m still in the Log Cabin planning stage!
Hi Cindy! Ooh, what pretty fabrics. Umm, RED. Seriously?!! Don’t forget to trim them to size for her! Can’t wait to see this log cabin come together. It’ll be gorgeous. ~smile~ Roseanne
Log Cabin was the first little quilt I ever made. I either cut the pieces wrong or my seam allowance was off, so the logs ended up at 1/2″. Needless to say, it’s a small mini. I’ve not made a large bed-sized log cabin, but it’s a simple block once you get the rhythm going. Enjoy!
I see you….
What?!??! The rest of us were required to give Sandy our red fabric and you did not give her all?!?! 😉
A log cabin quilt would be perfect and cozy with those jelly roll fabrics!
