It’s Cindy reporting in from Ohio.
This past weekend, I started working on Vintage Treasure #3 for our family friend. This is going to be a pillow that will finish at 18 inches square. The polyester squares were sewn together with tiny seams…probably 1/8 inch. Some of the seams were hand sewn with black thread, you can see the little thread remnants in the photo below.
Because the seams are so narrow and it’s polyester fabric, I couldn’t really press the seams open for quilting. I decided to machine quilt using straight seams on both sides of the 1/8 inch seam.
I was hoping to finish the project but Norma gave me “the look” so I stopped sewing to play with my girl!
I hope to finish the pillow this week, providing Norma gives me permission!
Norma is beautiful and so is your pillow.
Thanks, Lori!
I love Norma’s “look”!
Hi Cindy! Ah yes, THE look. I’m glad you took a break. Heavens only know what would have happened had you ignored the look. I think your quilting plan looks just fab! ~smile~ Roseanne
The machine quilting is a perfect idea and looks really polished for a pillow.
Norma, I love seeing pictures of you; I think that is a look of permission granted!
Woof!
Norma! The Look! Love it! Oh and Norma aside, that is very cool you are working on that vintage piece. You have patience!
