It’s time to think about Thanksgiving!
I’ve already planned my menu and have started thinking about table decorations! Below is a Thanksgiving Table Runner I created from fabrics in my stash. I think I will decorate my table around these colors.
This runner fits the length of my dining room table and it measures approximately 74 inches long x 20 inches wide.
I decided to use “some” of my cream scraps for the background AND I still have plenty of leftovers, just like at Thanksgiving dinner! Each letter is made from a different fall themed fabric but with this pattern, you can also make each letter with a scrappy look.
Table runner sizes are a good topic of conversation among quilters. A great blog to follow is Tierneycreates . She discusses table runner sizes in her October 1, 2017 blog post which you can read by clicking here..
Just what is the proper length for a table runner? I’m not sure BUT if 74 inches is too long for your table, NOT TO WORRY!
I created another “Thankful” table runner that measures approximately 36 inches long x 12 inches wide. This runner was made for Memorial Day so it has a solid white background with scrappy letters. You can easily change the red, white and blue color scheme to your favorite fall color scheme!
I will be posting these patterns to the FaveQuilts website. Be sure to visit this site for the latest free patterns and quilting videos. The FaveQuilts website has everything quilting in an easy to use format and it is my go to site for quilting inspiration!
