I’m so happy with the way my violet mini quilt finally came together (only about a year late — ahem). With Cindy’s quilting help I finished . I think the flower really “pops” in all the right places. She left some of the petals plain — I love the extra 3-D element this created.
I finished binding it last night with some of the leftover purple dotted Swiss, then I tossed it into the washer (along with a Color Catcher sheet). OK, you caught me there — since purple fabric is my weakness, I have, in fact, about another yard of this yummy purple stuff. Oh well, I’m sure I will soon find another use for it!
It’s a dark and gloomy day here, but spring is in the air — especially when I see the violets!
