As 2017 winds down, I’ve been thinking ahead to my 2018 quilting goals. I have two favorite fabrics that I plan on using for my 2018 Christmas projects.
I have two yards of this gorgeous Hoffman print.
I think the butterflies combined with the poinsettias are so pretty. I might use this as a center panel and then add some creative borders around the panel. Hmmm, it would also make a great table runner. I am sure I will reach a conclusion around July!
Sandy gave me several yards of this beautiful Christmas plaid. I like it so much I am reluctant to cut it!
This might make a nice wide border for some creative patchwork. I just know I will have this project completed by…. (wait for it….) September!
Although central Ohio does not have snow, we had a warm day that ended with a beautiful sunset over the river in front of our house. What a peaceful way to end the day! May you find peace amid the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season.
Super gorgeous fabrics. Realistic goals are the best. 👍 I’ll be looking forward to seeing the finished quilts next year. Merry Christmas. 🎄
Thanks Meg! Merry Christmas to you and a Happy New Year!
Love that plaid fabric too. Goals are good and I wish you luck in using the fabrics you love. We do tend to hoard them instead of use them sometimes. I’m really trying to get over that…waiting for just the right project.
Thanks, Barbara! It’s important to have just the right project for just the right fabric!
What beautiful fabric! I love your photo at the end of the post too – lovely! Hope you have a nice holiday 🙂
Thanks, Tierney!
I love both fabrics — they are gorgeous! Happy Holidays!
Thanks, Happy Holidays to you as well!
Gorgeous is what these fabrics are. Your Ohio sunset picture is beautiful, it would make a perfect 2018 Christmas card.
Merry Christmas Cindy and Sandy 🎄😊
Thanks, Abbie! Good idea about a Christmas Card!
