Stepping Stones – A Free Quilt Pattern

Good morning!  We are anxious to share this new quilt pattern with you, it’s hot off the press! Full Quilt Outdoors LOGOSandy and I decided to call this quilt “Stepping Stones” because it reminds us of when we were back on the farm, heading out to get the cows for milking.  We had to cross the creek pictured below.  When you’re a little girl, crossing something like this seems daunting!  We would always step on the stones to try and keep our feet dry.   Scenic creekThis is a fast and easy quilt created with a colorful 40 piece jelly roll and 11 solid white jelly roll strips to make the colors pop.  Here’s a close up view.  Full Block LOGOYou can download this FREE pattern by clicking on this link: Stepping Stones 06 12 20

Turkey Table Topper – A Free Pattern

It’s the last day of October and Thanksgiving is fast approaching!

Need a quick turkey table topper?  Give Sandy’s “Garrett Gobble” pattern a try!  He’s a cutie and is made from a extra scraps we all have on hand.  I like his embroidered little turkey feet.IMG_4467[1]The finished table topper measures 30 inches x 30 inches.  The pattern is made with (36) 5.5 inch squares but left over charm squares would also work great.  IMG_4482[1] You can download the pattern by clicking on this link:

Dresden Escape Published in Make Modern Magazine

It’s true, I’m back from vacation!  Sandy is now vacationing on a beach on the east coast and hopefully avoiding tropical storms…or worse!

We’re excited to announce that a pattern we designed has been published in the most recent Make Modern Magazine, a digital quilting magazine.

Last August when Sandy came to visit, we decided to design a quilt for mom and give it to her for Christmas.  Mom is a fan of 30’s prints and we wanted her quilt to look modern and fresh so we added lots of white space and some pinwheels.  Mom loves her quilt and here it is…Dresden Escape revealed at last!
Close up curve with logoThis is a bed size quilt with a total of 9 Dresden Plate blocks and it measures 89 x 89 inches square.  We had fun shopping for the backing.  It’s a lime green with white polka dots…another modern touch.
