**Design Idea** If you are a machine embroidery aficionado, this would be a great block to add some wording or special design features to the lotion bottle.

Since I am sticking with the pink theme, I decided a chevron fabric would be a fun way to introduce more pattern and texture into the block.  Placing the chevrons at an angle adds even more visual interest.

Next week, we will bring you the third block for our Glam Girl wall hanging.

Sandy created the most beautiful series of paper pieced “Glam Girl” blocks!  These blocks are so unique and stylish that we want to share them with you.

We are starting with the lipstick block because we both love it!  The nice thing about this block is you can easily change the color of the lipstick to suit your personal style.  I tend to stick with the rose/pink colors but there are so many different lipstick colors to choose from, maybe you will want to try silver and gold glitter!

Paper piecing is a great way to use some of the scraps you have in your fabric stash.  I looked through my fabrics and decided to go with a bright color palette.  I think the white polka dot fabric (“Snow” from Robert Kaufman’s Spot On collection) brightens the lipstick color even more.

Next week, we’ll introduce block #2 of our Glam Girl series.

Over the month of January we’ll make 3 different paper pieced Glam Girl blocks and then finish up with a Glam Girl wall hanging just in time for Valentine’s Day gifts!
