fabric that is!
I recently found a 42 piece batik charm pack for $4.99…who could resist such a thing? Not me! I love the color combinations!
So….now I’m interviewing fabrics to see how best to tie all these colors together. Maybe teal but I’m not ready to commit.
Fabric #1 – Teal
I’m not sure this yellow/green works.
Fabric #2 – Yellow/Green
There is some pink in the batiks but I don’t think it’s this shade. I think the batik pink is more coral than fuchsia.
Fabric #3 – Fuchsia Pink
Here’s the old stand-by: solid navy.
Fabric #4 – Navy Blue
This orange is way outside my comfort zone.
Fabric #5 – Orange

What color(s) would you use to tie these fabrics together?
Contrary to my usual dark desires, I’m digging the yellow green. Seems earthy and grounded on this snowy day.

The teal and navy would work great but if you want to a “wow” statement I like the yellow green. Unusual. Good luck.

The navy is the safe choice. I’d go with fuschia pink!!

Great find! Blue is my first pick, yellow/green is my second pick. Those batiks would look great in a pattern I just saw at my guild last night….

What a bargain! I like them all except the pink. If it were my pack, I’d go for the chartreuse, my current favourite ‘neutral’.
Thank, Meg! The yellow/green is in the lead. It started as a low favorite but after some sleep, it is moving up to a top contender!
I have the worst eye for color ever. But…I do like the bright pink and the teal too

I like the last yellow/green as #1 but the teal would be great. If you really want to Wow the final product/quilt the orange would be great as long as it isn’t overwhelming by having too much of it .

Yes, I do like the teal a lot. One of my favorite colors, too.
It depends on what I want. The colour orange if I ‘d like to Challenge myself. The green/yellow To show more softness and the spring around the corner.
Thanks, Kamilla! I am now leaning toward using several of these solids…it’s on my design wall now and I’m moving things around to play with color.

I like either the teal or that yellowish green. Either would really pop with your batik colors. What a great bargain!

I am in favor of the yellow-green. Not sure why, but it seems to provide a good balance of contrast and unity plus the bonus of some texture.
a very pale, ice or glacier blue would be my choice.
