Well, the pumpkins are gone, the chrysanthemums are trimmed back and the turkey leftovers no longer exist! Yep, I’m getting ready for Christmas!
A few years ago, our family started a new Christmas tradition. We all agreed to take turns hosting the Winter Wonderland Quilt by Crab Apple Studio pictured below.
Mom, Sandy and I worked on this lovely quilt one very hot summer. While it was 90 degrees in the shade, mom was working on the embroidery blocks while Sandy and I sewed away on the pieced blocks. Sandy is the lucky one to host the quilt this year.
Speaking of getting ready for Christmas, next week Sandy and I will be participating in a Virtual Cookie Exchange Blog Hop hosted by Carol at Just Let Me Quilt.
Joining Carol will be a lot of great bloggers who will be sharing cookie recipes and Christmas traditions. Stay tuned for lots of yummy pictures and tasty recipes!
Oh the three of you did make a lovely quilt! I just love redwork and the star blocks are perfect.
You Christmas picture is so pretty.
Thank you, Abbie! Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you to Cindy! ☃
The quilt is lovely; a wonderful tradition that I trust will endure into the next generation.
Thank you, Meg! Many generations is our goal!
That is funny – working on Christmas quilt in the hot summer! But that is how it gets done! Looking forward to seeing the holiday cookie recipes and photos 🙂
