We posted the “Celebrate Your Family” wall hanging pattern last week and received so many positive responses! Thank you!
I made a practice panel before I published the pattern. As I finished working on my “Family” practice panel, I realized I needed to tweak a few things for the final pattern. What to do with the practice panel? I decided to make a pillow!
I had about a 1/2 yard of black and white print in my stash which was just the right amount to make a 4 inch outer border. I like how the pink tones really pop with the solid black inner border.
I quilted the front of the pillow with straight line stitches and finished it with an envelope back. I had to make my own pillow form because the pillow cover is longer than a standard pillow form.
I’m going to drop this in the mail to mom tomorrow. I think she might use it as a throw pillow on her bed as it matches her pink, black and white lonestar quilt. I can’t wait to hear what she thinks of her family pillow!
Really cute idea!
Thank you, Graciela! I hope mom likes her pillow!
I LOVE the pillow!!
Looks great. Perfect for extra support at your back, just like family.
Mom will love it, I know I do! 😀
