The way the wind blows

This is the view from the top of the farm. The school bus brought us down this hill after school every day. Coming home from dates, the sky was so black, this was a perfectly romantic location to enjoy the stars. For years and years when I came home from Texas for a visit, this was my first glimpse of the farm. This view is now endangered.

A wind farm is being proposed in this part of New York state, and wind rights are rapidly being snapped up for a pittance from neighbors. We want no part of it, but may be forced to comply. I am devastated.

Cindy’s away in Michigan. I promise to go back to quilting topics by Thursday.
